The staves are cleaned and sanded smooth, highlighting the natural beauty of the oak and given a clear satin finish to protect the wood and to seal the charred bottom. The coasters come in two colors, Espresso and Natural Oak. They measure 6.5" to 7" x 3.75" x 1" and have a 1/4" deep round cavity measuring 3.25", which is the perfect size to fit most glasses you choose to use. A soft black felt insert lines the bottom of the cavity to help protect the wood and offer a finished look to these authentic bourbon barrel coasters. Every coaster is laser engraved with a unique design, with the option to add a heavy base rocks glass with the matching design.
